Research Subject:

My main research interests focus on translational research of cancer as a clinical scientist. My group not only continues efforts to treat cancer patients by surgery-based modality (clinical research) for gastrointestinal, breast and thyroid cancers , and also do molecular research for cancer using specimens from the tumor tissues and blood. In the area of cancer research, that includes identification and biological features of cancer stem cell; novel biomarker discovery from plasma using techniques including high-throughput mass spectrometry (plasma proteomics) for the prediction of cancer susceptibility, recurrence and survivability; and molecular target determination of Chinese medicinal herbs for antitumor . All were funded by national or provincial research grants.
