EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Professor Li graduated from Zhejiang University School of Medicine (formerly Zhejiang Medical University) in 1982 and worked in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine after graduation. She received her Master degree of Endocrine and Metabolic Diseases from Zhejiang University School of Medicine in 1989. She transferred to Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine in Nov. 2006. Li has received trainings at Harvard University Joslin Diabetes Center in the United States (Mar. 2003) and was a visiting scholar/visiting professor at Luebeck Medical University in Germany (1991-1992) as well as several universities in the United States, including Loma Linda University (Mar. 2007)，Mayo Clinic (July 2007)， MD Anderson Cancer Center (April-June 2008) and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (Mar. 2008),. Li was elected master instructor in 1996, and elected PhD supervisor in 2004. She has trained 40 graduate students and 6 Ph.D. students.

EXPERTISE AND RESEARCH INTERESTS
Endocrine Metabolic disease science (clinical, teaching and research), mainly pathogenesis, early diagnosis and treatment of diabetes and its chronic complications; basic and clinical research of metabolic syndrome.

2. Establishment of Community Management Network and Screening for Susceptibility Genes of Diabetic Nephropathy. Zhejiang Province Bureau of Science and Technology's Major Project (PI)
Has completed several National Natural Science Foundation project and Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects ( PI).
