Jun Li, M.D & Ph.D,

李君, 医学博士, 副教授

Jun Li, MD & Ph.D is Associate Professor in the China National Health Ministry’s Key Laboratory of Infectious Diseases at the First Affiliated Hospital, College of Medicine, Zhejiang University. In addition, Dr. Li is a young member of Committees of Zhejiang Association for the Study of the Live Diseases. Dr. Li specializes in bioartificial liver support system and hepatocyte transplantation with regeneration medicine for severe hepatic failure.

Dr. Li’s primary areas of research involve the development of bioartificial liver support system for patient with severe hepatic failure. He spent five years working at the bioartificial liver laboratory at The First Affiliated Hospital, College of Medicine, Zhejiang University in China and received his Ph.D degree in 2003, during which time he established an immortalized human hepatocyte line HepLL under Professor Lanjuan Li’s guidance. Dr. Li was trained as a Post-Doctor in the Minimally Invasive Surgical Technologies Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, UCLA, USA. Dr. Li’s research also focuses on the hepatocyte transplantation with stem cell derived hepatoycte by the regeneration medical technologies. He has written articles for numerous peer-reviewed publications, including the Stem Cells and Development, ASAIO Journal, Xenotransplantation, Journal of Hepatology, J Biomed Mater Res, J Appl Microbiol and Letters in Applied Microbiology.
