He is the director of Laboratory Center of Children’s Hospital of Zhejiang University, the vice director of Molecular Diagnostic Center of Zhejiang Province, and the vice director of Newborn Screening Center of Zhejiang Province. He also has the titles as following: the member of Pediatric Infection Board of Chinese Medicine Association, the specialist of National Pediatric Clinical Virology Association, the vice director of Virology Board of Zhejiang Medicine Association, the member of Microbiology and Immunology Board of Zhejiang Medicine Association, the editor of several Chinese journals such as “Chinese Journal of Pediatrics”, “Chinese Journal of Evidence Based Pediatrics” and “Chinese Journal of Practical Pediatrics”, and the reviewer of “Pediatric Research”. The major aspects of his research include molecular diagnosis and pathogenesis of herpes viruses infection, the relation between natural immune molecules and pediatric infection, and molecular diagnosis based on bacterial 16S rRNA gene. He has undertaken more than 10 projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, Science and Technology Department of Zhejiang Province, and Health Department of Zhejiang Province. More than 160 of his papers have been published on medical journals and over 30 of them have been included in SCI. Up to now, he has obtained 16 awards for the achveivement in science & technology and 15 national patents.
