Graduated from Peking Union Medical College with M.D.in 2003.During 2003-2008, worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Emory University, US. Became a faculty member of the Department of Biomedical Sciences of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at Los Angeles in 2008. Before leaving Cedars in 2015, was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. In 2015, held a professor position in the Medcial School of Zhejiang University. Endeavor to understand the development and pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases from a veiw of multi-systems. Develope gene engineering techniques for their application towards fundamental discovery and translational application.
