Prof. Si is Attending Physician in Gastroenterology at Affiliated Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Professor and M.D. mentor at Zhejiang University, Leading professor of Z.J.U. Master/Doctor program in Digestive disease, Leading professor of Zhejiang key disciplines in Internal Medicine/Digestive disease, Dean of Clinical Medicine Research Institute of Affiliated Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Vice chairman of Chinese Society of Gastroenterology, Chairman of Zhejiang Society of Gastroenterology, Vice chief editor of Chinese Journal of Digestion, and editor of National Medical Journal of China/Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine.
Prof. Si has been devoted in clinical practice, research and teaching for 30 years, thus becomes an experienced healthcare professional, and expert in digestive disease, with clinical interests in premalignant lesion of gastric cancer monitoring and effective interruption, tackling difficult cases, and endoscopic treatment. He has obtained worldwide leading original findings on high quality of peptic ulcer healing preventing ulcer recurrence, treatment of GERD by grade, microecological mechanism of IBS, and primary prevention of gastric cancer. He is/was in charge of projects with funding of National 863 Plan, National Eleventh-five-year Plan, Zhejiang Bureau of Science &Technology Key Program, Research Program of Ministry of Health, China-Britain Cooperative Program of Ministry of Science &Technology et al. Moreover, he has acquired 9 patents, 11 national/state awards, and published over 180 papers (including 30 SCI-Journal papers).
