Profile
Dr. Jian-an Wang is a interventional cardiologist, graduated from Hunan Medical College in 1978. Because of his great achievement,he is a full professor and doctor supervisor of cardiology of Zhejiang University now. As a cardiologist, he does cardiac procedures over 1000 cases per year,such as percutaneous coronary angiogr1aphy (PTCA), radiofrequency catheterization ablation (RFCA), pacemaker implantation, percutaneous closure of a residual ventricular septal defect (VSD), atrial septal defect (ASD) and patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) with the Amplatzer occluder etc. He has great experiences in the treatment of common cardiovascular diseases and emergencies and saved a lot of patients. Dr. Wang is also interested in the scientific research which is focused on the coronary heart diseases and mesenchymal stem cells, characteristics and mechanisms of its effectiveness to the ischemic heart diseases. He acquired more than ten grants, including National Science Foundation of China, Nature Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, Science and Technology Projects of Zhe jiang Province, has published over 150 papers and gained many national or Zhejiang provincial Science and Technology advancement Awards.
