Dr. Wang Liancong is professor of Oncology, Senior Consultant and Physician of Radiation Oncology, and Director of Department of Radiation Oncology(1997-2010.3),Second Affiliated Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University. Deputy director of Department of Radiation Oncology(2010.4-), School of Medicine, Second Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University. Concurrently, Dr. Wang Liancong is member of Chinese Society of Radiation Oncology, P.R.China; Vice Chair and standing committee member of Zhejiang Radiation Oncology Committee of Chinese Medicine Society（2008- present）;Vice Chair and standing committee member of Zhejiang Radiation Oncology Committee of Chinese Anti-cancer Association（2008- present）;Senior Specialist of Quality Assurance and Quality Control committee of Zhejiang radiation Oncology (2001- present);Senior Specialist of Zhejiang Branch Committee with technical appraisal for the medical negligence of Chinese Medical Society (2000- present); Senior evaluation specialist of government procurement with The Treasury , P.R.China(2006- present); Standing member of Zhejiang province Branch , Chinese biomedical engineering society; Senior Specialist of configuration management and technology evaluation committee with large medical equipment of Zhejiang province.
Dr. Wang Liancong is clinically engaged in Radiation Oncology, and multimodality treatment for primary and metastatic tumors, skillful at stereotactic radiotherapy and intensity modulated 3-dimensional radiotherapy , and mainly engaged in the treatment of cancers in head and neck, brain, thorax , abdomen , especially focused on brain tumor , nasopharyngeal cancer, laryngocarcinoma, lung cancer , liver cancer and hemangioma. In his clinical practice, Dr. Wang Liancong approaches chemotherapy and immunotherapy and Molecular Targeted Cancer Therapy as important adjuvant therapies. Academically, Dr. Wang has more than 40 papers published, and Participated in 6 Professional and Technical books write. Since 2002, Dr. Wang has won 2 prizes and awards for his academic accomplishments.
