Dr. Han Xu is a Professor of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. He obtained his PhD degree in Neuroscience from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2005. Then he worked as Assistant Research Scientist and Research Scientist in the Center for Neural Science at New York University and New York University School of Medicine, and joined the Institute of Neuroscience at Zhejiang University as a Principal Investigator in 2014. His long-term goal is to understand the organization and function of neural circuits. Currently, his research is focusing on 1) circuit mechanisms of social interaction behavior and 2) circuit mechanisms underlying social dysfunction commonly observed in a number of neuropsychiatric disorders such as anxiety, depression and autism.
