Research experience and activities:
My long-term research goal is to reveal etiology and mechanism of human leukemia, and develop novel molecular targeted-agents and strategies for the treatment of human leukemias. Since joining the staff of Zhejiang University in 1991, my research team has obtained following achievements: (1) Acute myeloid leukemia is etiologically associated with retroviral infection; (2) human APOBEC3 cytidine deamineases associated with the generation of hepatitis B x antigen mutants and hepatocellular carcinoma; (3) Berbamine is a novel inhibitor of bcr/abl fusion gene with potent anti-leukemia activity; (4) Shp2 is a novel oncogenic tyrosine phosphatase and potential therapeutic target for human leukemia. My team has published more than 50 peer review papers.
