Chief Doctor, M.D. Director of the Faculty Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the commissioner of the Faculty Board of Surgery in Medical College of Zhejiang University. Vice-director of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, and the Mini-invasive Surgery Center in the First Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Zhejiang University. The commissioner affiliated with the Zhejiang Chapter of the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Society of Chinese Medical Association.
He Graduated from the Department of Medicine of Medical College, Zhejiang University in 1982 and got the Master degree of Cardiothoracic Surgery from the Medical College of Zhejiang University in 1988. From the year of 1992 to 1995 he worked in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of the University Hospital of Zurich in Switzerland and acquired Medical Doctor Degree there in 1995.
He has engaged in surgery all along. He accomplished the first case of heart-lung transplantation in China in the year of 2000 and the second case of heart transplantation in Zhejiang province in 1999. He began to do VATS pulmonary volume reduction surgery, lobectomy of the lung and PDA ligation in China at an earlier period. He is well experienced in diagnosis and management of the difficulty cases. He is accomplished in treatment of cardiovascular diseases, lung cancer and other thoracic tumors, transplantation of heart, heart-lung and lung. Especially he is good at the mini-invasive thoracic surgery and video assist thoracoscopy surgery.
He deals in the research work of myocardial protection and the comprehensive treatment of lung cancer. In the area of cardiothoracic surgery he has published more than 20 papers in the core medical journals. He took part in editing several medical books. He joined and presided over several medical research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, the Provincial Natural Science Foundation and other foundations. He has won the second provincial prize for Science and Technology, first provincial prize for Science Innovation. He has received the Science and Technology Awards for Young Scholars awarded by Zhejiang Association for Science in the second session and Shi Hua-yu’s Special Achievement Awards for Medicine.
