Profile

My experence of study and work is following: I graduated from Fujian Traditional medical college in July 1994; And then worked in Nanping Paper Mill as a physican. I studied for master degree of integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in Fujian Traditional Medical College from September 1996 to July 1999. From Augest 1999 to February 2001, I worked in neurological department of Fujian People/'s Hospital as a physican. I studied for Ph.D of human genetics in School of life science, University of Science & Technology of China from 2
February 2001 to January 2005; and then attended in Havard School of Public Health as a postdoctor from March to September 2005. The whole lab was moved to Childrem/'s Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University in September 2005. I left from United States in June 2008 and have worked in School of Public Health, Zhejiang University to date.

Main study directions: The genetic epidemiology of chronic complex diseases, such as low birth weight and preterm, hypertension, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and colorectal cancer. My study aims are to explore the pathogensis of chronic complex diseases by analyzing associations of genetic factors, environmantal factors, and their interaction with chronic complex diseases, and then provide result data for prevention and control of relevant diseases. I have taken part in several projects funded by NIH: genetic study of low birth weight and preterm, genetic study of food allergy among children, and pharmacogenomics of hypertension. I have published more than twenty papers in SCI journal as fisrt author or coauthor.
