Dr.Zhan graduated from Zhejiang Medical University in 1983, in 2001 received his doctor degree from the University of Kiel, Germany. He works in neurosurgery department for over 20 years, and contributes in Brain tumor, cerebrovascular disease, spinal cord tumors, and treatment of functional neurosurgery.He also took part in more than 30 scientific research projects, published over 100 papers in this particular area. He now works as the director of the neurosurgery department of the 1st hospital of medicine school, Zhejiang University.
