Dr. Zhao Bo-wen, the director of Department of Diagnostic Ultrasound and Echocardiography, SRRSH, is an attending doctor and a tutor for master degree postgraduate of Zhejiang University Medical College. Graduated from Wuhan Tongji Medical University, he pursues sonographic diagnosis for more than 17 years. Dr. Zhao had studied in Japan and in the U.S.A. Being a cardiologist, he owns rich experiences for Color Doppler echocardiographic diagnosis of congenital heart diseases, rheumatic heart diseases, cardiomyopathy, coronary heart diseases, hypertensive cardiomyopathy, and so on, especially for noninvasive diagnosis of pediatric heart diseases and complex congenital heart diseases using Color Doppler Echocardiography. He takes the leading in clinical applications and intraoperative monitoring cardiovascular operations of transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and in prenatal screening of congenial cardiovascular malformations and fetal arrhythmias by fetal echocardiography, and took charge of the research program of clinical use of ultrasonic contrast agents，clinical application of fetal echocardiography in prenatal diagnosis of congenial cardiovascular malformations and fetal arrhythmias. Dr. Zhao has published more than 80 original articles in Chinese and in English (3 indexed in Science Citation Index, 6 indexed in Index Medicus). Now he have hold multiple social positions: Member of Society of Echocardiography of Chinese Society of Ultrasonic Engineering and Ultrasound in Medicine, Standing Member and Deputy Director of Zhejiang Society of Ultrasound in Medicine of Chinese Medical Association, Member and Secretary of Zhejiang Society of Chinese Society of Ultrasonic Engineering and Ultrasound in Medicine, Guest Reviewer for the Chinese Journal of Medical Ultrasound and the Journal of Ultrasound in Clinical Medicine.
