Scientific Research

With significant growth we have made in biomedical sciences for the past decades, we now stand in a leading competitive position. Funds arrived over 240 million Yuan in 2009. Currently, we have more than 250 ongoing grants, including 171 Grants from the Natural Science Foundation of China. In 2009, publications that were cited by SCI increased to more than 750, with 29 books being published.
9 projects won National Invention Award or National Science&Technology Advancement Award in the past decade. 
2001, Professor Peng Shu-you (Multi-functional Operation Devices) won 2nd-grade National Technological Invention Award;
2003, Professor Huang He (Unrelated Donor Allogenic Bone Marror Transplantation) won 2nd-grade National Sci-Tech Advancement Award;
2004, Professor Peng Shu-you (A Novel Surgical Module of Pancreatic-intestine Anastomosis) won 2nd-grade National Sci-Tech Advancement Award;
2004, Professor Cheng Yi-yu (Quality Calculation Analysis of Chinese Medicine and its ShenMai Industrial Production Application) won 2nd-grade National Sci-Tech Advancement Award;
2005, Professor Zheng Shu (Prevention of Colorectal Cancel in High-risk Population) won 2nd-grade National Sci-Tech Advancement Award;
2007, Academian Li Lan-juan () won 2nd-grade National Sci-Tech Advancement Award;
2007, Professor Yao Ke () won 2nd-grade National Sci-Tech Advancement Award;
2008, Academian Zheng Shusen () won 2nd-grade National Sci-Tech Advancement Award;
