On April 20, the release ceremony of “An English Manual of Situational Dialogues on Medical Services for Asian Games 2022” was held at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (SRRSH). The manual, edited by SRRSH, is guided by the Medical Department of Organizing Committee of the 19th Asian Games.

SRRSH officially started the compilation of the manual at the beginning of this year. Written for medical staff to have an overview of common dialogue scenarios during the Asian Games, the manual is divided into nine units: admission, consultation, physical examination, auxiliary examination, diagnosis and treatment measures, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, team communication, epidemic prevention and control, and simulation cases. The editorial team has also inserted appendices into the manual with practical contents, including human skeleton map, hospital departments and common diseases, the list of sports events on Asian Games and Asian Paralympic Games, and the contact information of designated hospitals.

As one of the designated hospitals providing medical support for the Asian Games and Asian Paralympic Games, SRRSH’s Xiasha Campus also undertakes the work of aeromedical emergency rescue. Based on the original medical and health support system for large-scale events, the hospital has comprehensively upgraded software and hardware system, such as technical capabilities, facility construction and service processes. SRRSH aims to provide a high-quality and integrated full-process international medical support system for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou, which will be postponed according to the announcement of the OCA Executive Board on May 6th.
