Dr. Chen has been engaged in the clinical, teaching and research work of oral medicine for 30 years. She has made out outstanding achievements in the field of periodontics In clinic, she is particularly adept at surgery treatment of periodontitis with bone defect and anterior cosmetic defects,and also the comprehensive treatment of periodontitis associated with systemic disease. Since 1985, She devoted herself to studies in periodontology: the mechanism of periodontal development, the relationship between periodontal disease and systemic disease. She has won almost 20 reseach projects as the person in charge ,including 3 grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. In total, she has published more than 60 papers in domestic and abroad medical journals, 15 of them were indexed by SCI. Her research papers“Chemical compositions of lipopolysaccharide from Porphyromonas gingivalis and its pathogenic mechanisms of periododntal diseases” and “Infection of different genotypes of human cytomegalovirus and Epstein-Barr virus in subgingival samples from patients with different periodontal status and its correlation with clinical parameters” were awarded the second and three prize of scientific and technological progress of Zhejiang Province in 1996 and 2007, respectively. Her medicine for the treatment of alveolar bone destruction named “Dilong oral liquid” has been awarded “Certificate of Patent”by the State Intellectual Property Office of The People's Republic of China(ZL200410025710.6).In 1998, as chief editor,Dr. Chen has edited the monographs “Oral Anaerobes and Periodontal Disease” which were published by The People’s Health Publication House, P.R.China.
