Sheng Yan, male, was born in Hangzhou, China, on 25th December, 1972. As a surgeon in pancreatic surgery, he worked in the field of liver and pancreatic (islets) transplantation, as well as clinical treatments for hepatic and pancreatic malignancy, diabetes research and managements. He is also interested in transplant immunology, experienced in the studies using murine model of liver, heart and small bowel transplantation. He had an experience of training for human islets isolation in Geneva, Switzerland, and training for liver/pancreas transplantation in Hannover, Germany.
