Opening Ceremony for 2010 Batch International Students

 

On Spetember 17th, the opening ceremony for 2010 batch international students was held in the conference room of administration building of Zhejiang University School of Medicine (ZUSM). Near 90 new international students from 20 countries and senior students took part in the ceremony. Leaders attending the Ceremony included Mr. Liu Hui, Dean of international school, Academian Professor Duan Shumin, Dean of ZUSM and heads from those two schools. Professor Yu Hai, Director of MBBS program and Office of International Relations, acted as a host for the ceremony.

Professor Duan has given the welcome speech. He warmly welcomed new students to ZUSM and briefly introduced our university and school to the students. He also handed out crystal medals to the top 10% outstanding students from 2007, 2008 and 2009 batches, and praised them for their hard work.

 

 

Professor Yu first greeted all new students in Chinese. From his vivid and lively talk, students learned characteristics and advantages of MBBS program and study in ZUSM. He also wished them succeed in study, encouraged them to work hard in order to better understand and experience Chinese culture, all of which will help them a lot in their study and lives in China.

Jaiswal Sanjay, a 2007 batch student from India, spoke at the ceremony on behalf of the senior international students. He shared his 3-year life and study in Zhejiang University and hoped the new students will have an unforgettable and happy life in ZUSM.

       During the break, all students, leaders and staff have taken pictures.

In the end of the ceremony, Ms. Hu Lizhen, coordinator of 2010 batch students, clarified important issues for their study here. Dr. Zhang Jie gave a talk of the curriculum. And at last, the related responsible personnel with the Exit-Entry Administration Division of Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau introduced relevant regulations and interviewed on site for visa affairs.
