  浙江大学营养与食品安全研究所所长、求是特聘教授、营养学博士、博士生导师。
    1992年获河北医科大学公共卫生学院学士学位,1995年获上海同济大学医学院营养与食品卫生学硕士学位,1998年第二军医大学军事预防医学博士学位。1998-2002年在第二军医大学海军医学系工作,先后任讲师、副教授、硕士生导师、教研室主任。2002-2004年在美国密苏理哥伦比亚大学营养系和生物化学系从事博士后研究。之后在美国哈佛大学医学院和波士顿儿童医院任研究员(Instructor);美国佛罗里达大学人类营养与食品系任研究副教授。2009年在中国科学院上海生命科学研究院营养科学研究所研究员、博士生导师、微量元素分子营养学研究组主任。2013年调任浙江大学公共卫生学院,任院长。现任国家卫生部食品安全国家标准评审委员会委员、中国营养学会老年营养分委会委员、上海营养学会理事、上海营养学会副主任委员、上海预防医学会营养与食品安全分委会委员、美国佛罗里达大学食品与人类营养系Courtesy Professor。目前承担国家自然科学基金项目杰出青年项目、重点项目(2项)、面上项目,国家重点基础研究发展计划(973计划)项目、科技部支撑计划及上海市基础研究重点项目等。在Nature Genetics、Nature、Blood、Hepatology等国际著名杂志发表论文80余篇,五年内论文他引近600余次;主编专著3部;申请专利7项;多次受邀在国内外做大会学术报告。

研究领域
运用涵盖分子生物学、细胞生物学、生物化学及遗传学等多学科前沿实验技术,以基因敲除小鼠、斑马鱼及人群流行病学为实验手段研究微量元素(主要是铁和锌)代谢的分子及遗传机制。主要研究方向如下:
1) 微量元素稳态代谢的分子和遗传机制,以及在疾病发生发展中的作用。矿物质和微量元素是构成人体组织和维持正常生理活动的重要物质,过少会引发相应的缺乏病,例如锌缺乏可引起小儿厌食、生长发育停滞以及免疫力降低等;铁缺乏可以引发缺铁性贫血。但这些矿物质和微量元素过量同样对健康造成极大危害。因此维持机体矿物质和微量元素平衡对人类健康至关重要。近年来由于分子生物学技术的发展,多种参与离子转运与代谢的新基因被克隆和鉴定,使人类对离子稳态调控分子机理有了一定的了解,但还有很多问题有待深入研究。
2)食品安全中的重金属危害分子机制及防治新措施研究。近年我国重金属污染事件频发,严重威胁国民健康与社会和谐。鉴于科学前沿及国家重大需求,食品安全中的重金属危害研究也成为我们的主要攻关方向:(1)重金属代谢分子机制研究;(2)重金属危害的人群流行病学研究;(3)以金属为靶点的生物活性单体筛选与机制研究。
3)新型功能食品的研发。以我国居民迅猛高发的重大代谢性疾病如糖尿病、代谢综合征、心血管疾病等为攻关核心,通过应用多种高新技术与现代营养学新理论,筛选天然食物或植物提取物功能因子,研发新型高效安全功能食品。该研究方向得到科技部支撑计划项目支持,申报国家专利7项。
4)公益健康科普宣教。致力于营养健康知识大众科普宣教,荣获上海市科学技术委员会授予的“上海科普宣讲大使”称号;创建 “西湖营养”微信公众宣教平台和微博,每天推送营养学新发现、新知识、新理论。请大家加“关注”!
