个人简介:

段树民院士,神经生物学家。
  浙江大学医学院院长,教授。中国科学院院士,发展中国家科学院(第三世界科学院, TWAS)院士,全国政协委员, 中国神经科学学会理事长,亚太神经科学学会主席。1982年毕业于蚌埠医学院, 1991年在日本九州大学获博士学位。1997-1999年先后在夏威夷大学和加州大学旧金山分校做博士后研究。2000-2009年在中国科学院神经科学研究所先后任研究员、神经科学国家重点实验室主任、副所长。长期从事神经生物学研究,在神经元-胶质细胞相互作用、突触发育和功能等研究领域作出系统的创新工作,尤其在胶质细胞信号分子释放机制、胶质细胞对神经环路和突触可塑性的调控等方面取得重要研究成果。任《Neuroscience Bulletin》主编,《Journal of Neurophysiology》、《Glia》、《Hippocampus》、《Neurobiology of Disease》等国际神经科学杂志编委。2008年获何梁何利科学与进步奖,2010年获国家自然科学二等奖。
  主要研究兴趣是突触形成和活动依赖性突触可塑性的机制,尤其对星状胶质细胞在突触形成和活动依赖性突触可塑性中的作用感兴趣,并研究胶质细胞释放活性物质的机理。
